our process
Millie and Noah partners with every customer to design their one-of-a- kind, whether they are unsure where to begin or already have a clear vision. The collaboration runs throughout the design process, allowing us to understand the customer and to per fect the design along the way. Whatever our customersâ needs, we leave no stone unturned to create a piece for them to love for years to come.
VIRTUAL ATELIER
Convenient and easy to use, our state of the art online platform allows you to design classic pieces using a mobile device or computer and visualize them in real-time.
FULLY BESPOKE
Should you require an entirely new design, Millie and Noah provides a fully bespoke service entirely tailored to you. Simply get in touch with us by email or text message and we will schedule a consultation to better understand your goals, personal style, likes, and dislikes. Based on your feedback, we will provide you with sketches of a range of potential designs to get a better sense of which direction to go in. From there, we will guide you through several sketch iterations before finalizing the design. Many designs involve unique gemstones, so we often begin by tapping our network of mines and gem dealers to find the ideal stones. The stone selected will inform the final design. Before starting production, we will provide you with formal renderings to help you visualize the piece and make any adjustments if needed. Typically, digital renderings known as a CAD are created for that purpose.

Once the renderings are approved by you, a wax model is created by sending the CAD files to a 3D printer. In this step, the wax model is âgrownâ layer by layer, slowly taking the same shape of the final piece.
The wax model, which is a perfect replica of the metal portion of the piece, is used to make the gold cast. The cast is then cleaned, sanded and polished before the gems can be set into the piece.
The gem setter then sets the gems into the gold frame using a microscope for accuracy. This is a time-consuming and tedious task â if done improperly, the stones risk falling out. Ideally, gems are set with the least amount of gold possible while ensuring the stones are secure.
Once the stones are all set, the piece is polished one last time before it is ready to be shipped.
SEMI-BESPOKE
Some of our designs can be readily customized online. Once you finalize and submit your design, we will keep you updated throughout the production. If you have specific requests, feel free to contact us as we are always happy to make your piece as personal as possible.

âWe did most of the work through text messaging and email which is really convenient and simple. I have a background in fine jewelry but the process is individually tailored so that itâs fun and engaging but not overwhelming. â
